Audrey Faye (Fields) Hamilton

Audrey Faye Hamilton, 66, of North Vernon passed away at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, July 24, 2017 at her residence.

Born March 23, 1951 in Crown, Kentucky; Mrs. Hamilton was the daughter of Jordan and Alia Sergent Fields. She married Jerry Lee Hamilton on July 26, 1969 in Paris Crossing; He preceded her in death on December 22, 2007.

Mrs. Hamilton was homemaker and also worked as a CNA and Home Health Aid. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in North Vernon. Mrs. Hamilton enjoyed writing, poetry, playing games on computer and watching old television shows.

She is survived by her sons, Robert Hamilton and Charles Hamilton both of North Vernon and Jerry Lee (April) Hamilton II of Butlerville; daughter, Angela (David) Grider of Dupont; brother, Bobby Craft of Lebanon, Ohio; sisters, Willamae Wardlow of Milton, Kentucky and Lovanna Maggard of Bargersville; grandchildren, Maggie Hamilton, Raven Grider, Nola Hamilton and Shyla Hamilton all of North Vernon, Jacqueline (Nick) Cline of Hayden, Brittani Davis of Dupont, Patrick (Morgan) Ruark of Seymour, Jordan Hamilton of Florida, Emily Carf, Lily Carf, Jerri Lee Hamilton, Madilyn Hamilton, Vada Hamilton, Mackenzie Hamilton all of Butlerville,  Devon Ascherman of Lawrenceburg and Amber Frazee of Edinburgh; great-grandchildren, Raekwon Ruffin, Jeremiah Davis and Shawn Davis all of Dupont, Hillary Cline, Abigail Cline and Sophia Cline all of Hayden and Zayleigh Grider of North Vernon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers, Billy Fields and Johnny Hall and sister, Ethel Jerrell.

A funeral service for Mrs. Hamilton will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Friday, July 28, 2017 at the First Church of the Nazarene in North Vernon with the Rev. Caleb Reynolds officiating. Family and Friends may call at the church on Friday, July 28, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will be in the Hopewell Cemetery in Jennings County.  Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home for expenses.
