Johnnie Lee

Johnnie Lee, 66, of North Vernon, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at his home.

Born July 2, 1950 in Scottsburg, he was the son of Curtis and Flossie Fox Lee. Johnnie married his wife Irene in Seymour and she preceded him in death.

He was employed as a delivery man for Ashcraft Furniture in Seymour for 10 years. Mr. Lee enjoyed having cookouts and spending time with family and friends, following the Indianapolis Colts, and especially loved his dog Termi.

Survivors include a son, Matthew Lee of North Vernon; daughter Elizabeth (Brian) Holmes of Scenery Hill, PA; brothers Jack Lee and Bill Lee both of Seymour; sister Betty Hamilton of North Vernon; grandchildren Brianna Holmes, Jacob Holmes, Joseph Sawyer all of Scenery Hill, PA, Tequila Lee of Ohio, and Brandon, Jaida, Austin, and Ryder Lee all of North Vernon; and his niece and caregiver Michelle Hamilton of North Vernon.

Mr. Lee was preceded in death by his wife Irene; his parents; brother, Charles Lee; sisters, Shirley Cummins and Kate Anderson; and grandchildren, Matthew Marcus Lee and Johnathan Samuel Lee.

Funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 from 2:30 p.m. until time of service. Burial will follow at Otter Creek Cemetery in Nebraska.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home for family expenses.
