Patricia Kay (Joslin) Smith

Patricia Kay Smith, 58, of North Vernon passed away at 3:20 p.m. on Monday, August 7, 2017 at Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus.

Born December 10, 1958 in Port Clinton, Ohio, Ms. Smith was the daughter of James A. Joslin and the late Vonnie Burton Joslin.

Ms. Smith was a 1977 graduate of Jennings County High School and served in the U.S. Army. She worked for ENKEI in Walesboro and had previously worked at Arvin Sango in Madison and was an attendant for the former Muscatatuck State Developmental Center in Butlerville for eight years. Ms. Smith enjoyed crocheting, knitting, listening to music and antiques.

She is survived by her sons, Jerad (Clara) Smith of Florence, Kentucky and Leonard (Sierra) Burton of Florida; her father, James “Jim” Joslin of North Vernon; grandchildren, Zailyne Smith, Martell Smith, Cariel Smith and Caitlin Smith all of Kentucky, Patience Stogdill and Olivia Wade both of Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her mother and a daughter, Cara Dawn Smith.

 funeral service for Ms. Smith will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon. Family and Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. until time of service. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the American Heart Association.
