Randa “Jean” Green, 70, of Dupont passed away at 7:34 p.m. on Monday, June 5, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

 Born March 10, 1947 in Jennings County, Mrs. Green was the daughter of Jeffie and Rosa (Gabbard) Gilbert. She married Larry Earl Green in 1966; he preceded her in death on November 26, 1992.

 Mrs. Green was a Homemaker and a graduate of Scottsburg High School in Scottsburg. She was a member of New Freedom Baptist Church in North Vernon. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.

 She is survived by her son, Mike (Julie) Green of North Vernon; daughter, Lisa (Jeff) Anderson of Kokomo; brothers, Bob (Pam) Gilbert of Georgia, Larry (Lynette) Gilbert of Lexington and Jeff Gilbert of Dupont; sisters, Phyllis Henry of Texas and Jolene Herald of Florida; grandchildren, Jamie Day of Batesville, Dalton Day, Josie Day, Adam Green, Andrew Green and Lauren Green all of North Vernon.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Ron Gilbert.

 A funeral service for Mrs. Green will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 2017 at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon with the Rev. David Brown officiating. Family and Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday. June 9, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in the Dupont Cemetery in Dupont.

 Memorials may be made through the funeral home to New Freedom Baptist Church.
