Walter Lee Brooks

Walter Lee Brooks, 68, of Crothersville, passed away at 11:18 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 2017 at St Vincent Heart Center in Indianapolis.

 Born August 16, 1948 in Jennings County, Mr. Brooks was the son of Clarence E. and Virginia Robbins Brooks.

 Mr. Brooks was a truck driver for Lee’s Ready Mix for ten years; he had previously worked for ITT Thompson and Graham Concrete. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, talking with friends and drinking coffee, working on small engines and playing with his bulldog, Diesel who he called his grandson.

 He is survived by sons, John (Ginny) Brooks of North Vernon and Roger Brooks of Clarksville; brothers, Paul (Pauline) Brooks of North Vernon and Clifford (Judy) Brooks of Crothersville; sisters, Kay (Roy) McIntosh of Austin, Diane (Terry) Robbins of North Vernon and Donna (Marty) Bruce of Crothersville; grandchildren, J.J. (Jessica) Brooks, Joey (Santanna) Brooks, Jacob Brooks and Tori Brooks all of North Vernon and several nieces and nephews.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Virginia Robbins; brothers, Warren, Jackie and Floyd Brooks and sister, Phyllis Harmon.

 In keeping with his wishes cremation is planned and no services are to be held at this time. Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services were entrusted with the care of these arrangements.

 Memorials in honor of Mr. Brooks may be made through the funeral home for Funeral Expenses.
