Benjamin Floyd Johnson, 33, of Deputy, passed away at 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at his residence.
Born July 19, 1990, in Clarksville, he was the son of Billy Johnson and Matilda Howard Paeper.
Benjamin attended Madison Consolidated Schools and worked for Rick Lucas Lawn Care for three years. He had previously worked for the street department for the City of Madison. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, ginseng hunting, camping down by the creek, riding motorcycles and rode to Alaska twice, and his two dogs, Journey, and Sally.
Survivors include his father, Billy (Donna) Johnson of Paris Crossing; mother, Matilda (Jason) Paeper of Carrollton, Kentucky; brother, Billy (Nona Foga) Johnson of Deputy; granny, Judy (Chuck) Howard Stater of Madison; stepbrother, Alex (Angela Vandwinden) Bell of Paris Crossing and stepsister, Allysen Perry of Commiskey.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Patty Johnson and grandpa, Marty Howard.
A funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Brandon Whitt officiating. The visitation for family and friends will be held from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday. A burial will follow in the Coffee Creek Christian Cemetery in Paris Crossing.
