John "Keith" Hoard

John “Keith” Hoard, 58, of North Vernon, passed away at 12:31 p.m. on Friday, April 12, 2024, at Our Hospice of South-Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus.

Born August 7, 1965, in Indianapolis, he was the son of John L. Hoard and the late Brenda C. (Hutson) Hoard.

Keith was a 1983 graduate of Lawrence Central High School and attended technical school. He worked at NTN Driveshaft in Walesboro and had previously worked in Branches Home Health Care, Bloomington working in the North Vernon area. He was a member of DeMolay International and Fatih Southern Baptist Church in Valonia. Keith enjoyed canoeing, camping, mountains, vintage trucks, and being outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved being with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.  vintage trucks

Survivors include his forever friend, Beth Hoard of North Vernon; daughter, Courtney Barker of Greenfield; father, John Hoard of Franklin; brother, Mark Hoard of Patricksburg; sister, Cheryl (Brett) Foster of Cicero; granddaughter, Liliana Barker of Greenfield; and nieces and nephews who he loved dearly, Lexi Balder, and Cecil McIntosh, and many more.

He was preceded in death by his mother and a sister, Lisa Hoard.

A funeral service for Keith will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon. The visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday. Burial will follow in the Baldwin Cemetery in Vernon.
