Kimberly Diane “Kim” Perry, 55, of North Vernon, passed away at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at her best friend’s home.
Born August 1, 1968, in Columbus, she was the daughter of Joyce (Brasher) Deaton and the late Bobby Earl Deaton.
Kim was a 1987 graduate of Jennings County High School and attended Korteva School of Massage Therapy in Pinellas Park, Florida. She owned Princess Cupcakes Shop in Madison and had previously worked for Dr. Galleons Office as a massage therapist, Chik-Fil-A in Columbus, and Jay C Store in North Vernon. Kim enjoyed going to flea markets, yard sales, and thrift stores, and being outdoors.
Survivors include her son, Kody (Nina) Berletch of Largo, Florida; mother, Joyce Deaton of North Vernon; brothers, Bob Deaton Jr. of Butlerville and Mike (Ginger) Deaton Sr. of North Vernon; grandson, Jayden Romano of Tampa, Florida; niece, Sarah (D.J.) Deaton-Perez; nephews, Bobby (Samantha) Deaton, Michael (Brianna) Deaton, Corry Deaton, Aaron (Jordan) Deaton, and Owen (Payton) Deaton; several great nieces and nephews; and lifetime friend, Carol Paul Wolfe.
She was preceded in death by her father; grandparents, Kash and Bertha Deaton and Walter and Hazel Brasher; nephew, Dylan Deaton, and her dog, Bella.
In keeping with her and her family’s wishes, cremation is planned, and a private service will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Memorials may be made in honor of Kim through the funeral home for expenses.
