Amy Michelle (Mitchell) Speer

Amy Michelle Speer, 42, of Bloomfield passed away at 5:22 a.m. on Thursday, August 10, 2017, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus.

Born January 8, 1975 in Columbus, Ms. Speer was the daughter of Roger and Rebecca Daniels Mitchell.

Ms. Speer was a 1994 graduate of Jennings County High School and was a cashier for Jay C Food Store in Oden for one and half years. She had previously worked as a cashier at Sam’s Club in Columbus and worked at several day cares in the area. Ms. Speer enjoyed fishing, hunting especially goose and duck.

Survivors include her daughters, Carly (Joey) McGuire of North Vernon and Brianna (Scott Johnson) Speer of Milan; her parents, Roger and Rebecca Mitchell of Dupont; her companion, Mark Speer; a sister, Angela (Burl Fenney) Lacey of Lexington and grandchildren, James and Jace McGuire of North Vernon and Aaron Johnson of Milan. 

A funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon. Friends and Family may call at the funeral home on Sunday, August 13, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until time of service.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home for expenses.
