Annajean Piercefield, 87, of Jonesville, passed away at 10:48 a.m. on Friday, September 28, 2018, at Seymour Crossing in Seymour.
Born February 10, 1931 in Vernon, Mrs. Piercefield was the daughter of Wayne and Martha (Shepard) Tatem. She married Robert Allen Piercefield on August 11, 1950, in Columbus. He preceded her in death on May 20, 2000.
Mrs. Piercefield worked in manufacturing for Cummins Engine Company for more than 10 years. She also worked for CP Electronics, Kids Gloves Cleaning, owned Hobby House Ceramic in Columbus. She was a member of the Moose Lodge in Columbus. Mrs. Piercefield enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, ceramics, family time and walking around Wal-Mart at 2 a.m.
Survivors include her son, Miles (Christine) Piercefield of Jonesville; daughter, Amy (Criss) Spicer of Carrollton, Kentucky; sister, Cora Randolf of West Union, Ohio; grandchildren, Robbie Jo Anderson of Los Angeles, California and Juleigh Piercefield of Jonesville; and great-grandchildren, Madison Robson and Brooklyn Anderson, both of Carrolton, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sons, Michael and Patrick Piercefield; brother, “Jr” Wayne Tatem; and sister, Margie Randolf.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 1, 2018, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Jake Arnold officiating. Family and Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, September 30, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the American Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Association.
