Betty Lou (Asher) Hicks

Betty Lou Hicks, 42, of North Vernon passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, in Jennings County.

Born October 3, 1975, in Piqua, Ohio, Mrs. Hicks was the daughter of David Asher and Janice Collins Voskhul. She married Donald Hicks on November 17, 2007 in North Vernon. He survives.

Mrs. Hicks cleaned for T/A Truck Stop in Seymour for the past 2 months and formerly worked for ResCare for eight years. She enjoyed her pet goat, going to flea markets, and attending car races.

Surviving with her husband, Donald Hicks, is a son, Robert Hicks of North Vernon; daughter, Charity (Coty) Hicks of North Vernon; step-daughter, Mary (Tyler) Grauman of West Milton, Ohio; parents, David (Bonnie) Asher of North Carolina and Janice (Mike) Voskhul of Piqua, Ohio; brothers, Michael (Jamie) Asher, David Asher and Pat (Pam) Asher, all of Piqua, Ohio; sister, Belinda (Don) Davis of West Milton, Ohio; grandchildren, Samantha (Robert) Bretland of Troy, Ohio, Kendra (Dallas) Brush of Vandalia, Ohio, Colton Grauman and Jesse Hick, both of West Milton, Ohio; and great-grandchild, Jack Grauman of West Milton, Ohio.

Cremation is planned, and a memorial service may be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.
