Betty Jean Ventimiglia, 89, of North Vernon passed away at 8:25 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon.
She was born on May 30, 1929, in Moberly, Missouri. She married Steve Ventimiglia on January 10, 1945 in St. Louis, Missouri; he preceded her in death in February of 1997.
Mrs. Ventimiglia was a homemaker who loved to sew and clean house.
She is survived by her sons, Steven Ventimiglia Jr. of Collinsville, Illinois, John Ventimiglia and Veto Ventimiglia both of North Vernon; daughters, Katherine (Ted) Skyles of Arnold, Missouri, and Pat (William) Gann of North Vernon; eight grandchildren, Ted Skyles Jr. of Branson, Missouri, Holly Skyles of Arnold, Missouri, Mathew Gann and Sharon Bowers, both of North Vernon, Sherrie Reynolds of Springfield, Missouri, Jonathan Ventimiglia, Stephanie Dequire and Shennetta Glaze all of Cedar Hill, Missouri; twenty-six great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Ventimiglia, and grandson, Robert “Bobby” Gann.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date with burial in Mt Hope Cemetery in Lemay, Missouri. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon.
