Birdie Mae (McIntosh) Adams

Birdie Mae Adams, 83, of North Vernon passed away at 2:00 a.m. on Friday, November 17, 2017, at Keepsake Village in Columbus.

Born September 30, 1934, in Scottsburg, Mrs. Adams was the daughter of Willie and Josie McIntosh. She married Albert Dean Adams on April 26, 1952, in North Vernon; he preceded her in death on April 29, 2006.

Mrs. Adams was a 1952 graduate of Paris Crossing High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of Coffee Creek Christian Church in Paris Crossing and volunteered at Dupont Elementary School. Mrs. Adams enjoyed quilting, flowers, going to Florida and Kentucky Lake.

She is survived by her sons, Alan (Tina) Adams of North Vernon and Mark (Deb) Adams of Columbus; daughter, Robyn (Jeff) Meek of Dupont; brothers, Eugene (Joyce) McIntosh, David (Sandy) McIntosh and Steve (Gail) McIntosh all of Paris Crossing, Jack (Nancy) McIntosh of Commiskey, and Curt (Karen) McIntosh of Nashville; sisters, Ileen Wetzel and Judy Baker both of Seymour, Edna Rockey and Wanda Sullivan both of North Vernon; grandchildren, Tyson (Nikki) Woods of North Vernon, Peyton (Kelly) Adams of Franklin, Kaylin (Donnie) Goepper of Mason, Ohio, Kevin Adams of Mossy Oak, Washington, Robert Adams of Eureka, California and Josh (Jessie) Meek of Westfield and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sisters, Fran Bratcher, Patricia Kramer and Henrietta Mettler.

A funeral service for Mrs. Adams will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at Coffee Creek Christian Church in Paris Crossing with the Rev. Ronnie McKinney and Rev. Will Smith officiating. Family and Friends may call at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in the Coffee Creek Christian Church Cemetery in Paris Crossing.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Coffee Creek Christian Church Cemetery.
