Bobby Hodge, 76, of North Vernon, passed away at 2:25 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus.
Born November 11, 1942, in Liberty, Kentucky, Bobby was the son of George A. M. and Arabelle (Hodges) Hodge. He married Carol Jane Hatfield on October 10, 1964, in Tennessee. She preceded him in death on July 8, 2018.
Bobby worked as an installer for Culligan Water in Franklin for 30 years before retiring in 1994. He enjoyed going to yard sales and auctions and doing crafts.
Survivors include his daughters, Peggy (Danny) Riffel and Pamela (Darrell) Brazee both of North Vernon; grandchildren, Joshua (Angie) Lucas of Madison, Danielle (Justin Hammon) Riffel, Jacob (Amanda) Riffel, Tosha Brazee, Lauren Riffel, Kasen Riffel, Clayton (Hannah) Riffel, Shaunna Brazee, Nicci Dyer, Willy Riffel and Jerry Riffel, all of North Vernon and seventeen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; grandchild, Krista Riffel; brothers, Jessie, Charles and Jimmie Hodge; and sisters, Cathy Berryman and Lilly Hodge.
A funeral service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Michael Biggs officiating. Family and Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, May 4, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. until time of service.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Our Hospice of Jennings County.
