Brenda Glaydell (Smith) McIntosh

Brenda Glaydell McIntosh, 78, of Crothersville, passed away at 10:00 p.m. on Monday, August 26, 2019 at her residence.

Born May 23, 1941, in Columbus, she was the daughter of the late Willie Lester and Arett (Brooks) Smith. She married Paul McIntosh on March 31, 1960 in Crothersville; he survives.

Mrs. McIntosh was a 1959 graduate of Austin High School and delivered meals on wheels; she had previously worked for Arvin’s and the Shirt Factory. Mrs. McIntosh enjoyed being outdoors, cattle, animals, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving with her husband, Paul McIntosh; are sons, Brian McIntosh of Indianapolis and Bradley (Katherine) McIntosh of Seymour; sisters, Willamae Ferrenburg of Milton and Donna Ferrenburg of Arizona; and grandchildren, Amanda McIntosh of Indianapolis and Jonathon McIntosh of Seymour.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Billy Clay and Charles Wayne Smith.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 30, 2019 at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Richard Burcham officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, August 29, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial will be in the Cana Cemetery.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Alzheimer’s Association.
