Ceburn Allen Tyler III, 42, of North Vernon, passed away at 7:37 p.m. on Friday, July 19, 2019, at Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus.
Born September 16, 1976 in Columbus, he was the son of Ceburn A. Tyler Jr. and Velma (Roy) Tyler. He married Debbie Lacombe on August 8, 2003 in North Vernon; she survives.
Ceburn was a 1996 graduate of Jennings County High School and attended Versailles Vocational School’s automotive training program. He worked as a firefighter at Muscatatuck Urban Training Center (MUTC) for 12 years, volunteer fireman for North Vernon Fire Department for 20 years; and was a former jailer for Jennings County for five years. He has training in EMT, Firefighter 1 and 2, HazMat and rope class. Ceburn enjoyed fishing, hunting and working on the farm.
Surviving with his wife, Debbie Tyler. are a son, Ceburn Leo Tyler of North Vernon; daughter, Santana Tyler of North Vernon; parents, Ceburn A. Tyler Jr. and Velma Tyler of North Vernon; brothers, Corey (Misty) Tyler of North Vernon and Caleb (Steve) Tyler-Combs of Columbus; and grandmother, Viola Tyler of North Vernon.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2019, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with Rev. Ceburn Tyler Jr. officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Memorials may be made in honor of Ceburn through the funeral home for expenses.
