Charlene Ann Miller, 78, of North Vernon, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus.
Born June 21, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of Charles and Leota (Chambers) Dudley.
Ms. Miller was a 1958 graduate of Vernon High School in Vernon and worked for the North Vernon Plain Dealer and Sun for 13 years, and data entry at Interim Health Company in Sarasota, Florida for 11 years leaving in 1998. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in North Vernon and a former member of St Paul’s Catholic Church in Marion and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star and International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. She enjoyed playing golf, bowling and dogs.
Survivors include her sons, Kevin (Angie) Miller of North Vernon and Kenneth Scott Miller of East Lansing, Michigan; daughter, Phyllis K. (Partner) Miller of Avon; grandchildren, Donald E. Olmsted of Waynetown, Orville (Jennifer) Taylor of Berea, Kentucky, John Miller and Samuel Miller, both of North Vernon and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Ramona McDowell.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 21, 2019 at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service with Deacon Larry French officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, June 20, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Rosary service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Mercy Rescue.
