Dalton Allen McKenzie Rinker

Dalton Allen McKenzie Rinker, 19, of North Vernon, passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 4:15 p.m.

Born November 18, 1998, in Clarksville, Tennessee, he was the son of David and Kim Fairchild Rinker; they survive.

Mr. Rinker attended Jennings County schools until 9th grade and later graduated from the Hoosier Youth Academy in Knightstown in 2015 and from the ETC in North Vernon in 2016. He worked as a certified welder for Faurecia in Westport in addition to having worked for Martinrea for three months. He was a member of the Restoration Fellowship Church in North Vernon. Mr. Rinker was very patriotic and enjoyed spending time with his family, shooting targets, and collecting both guns and knives.

Surviving with his parents, David and Kim Fairchild Rinker of North Vernon, are his grandfathers, Wayne Mahan of North Vernon, Larry Rinker, and Carl Fairchild, both of Bloomington; brother, Nathaniel Sallee of Hope; sisters, Brittany (Justin) Walters of North Vernon and Christina (Dirk) Dieters of Colorado Springs, Colorado; four nephews; and one niece.

He was preceded in death by his infant son, Buck Rinker; grandmothers, Dianna Copus and Dianna Mahan; and brother, Michael Sallee.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, September 3, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery in Vernon.
