Davon Lee Shine

Davon Lee Shine, 24, of North Vernon, passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

Born November 11, 1993, in Seymour, he was the son of Eddie Lee Shine Jr. and Debora (Tarvin) Griffin; they survive.

Mr. Shine attended Jennings County High School and worked for the Foundation and Structure Repair Group in Versailles for two years. He enjoyed fishing and Jeeping.

Surviving with his parents, Eddie Lee Shine Jr. of Green Cove Springs, Florida and Debbie Griffin of Dillsboro, is his fiancée, Brittany Miller of North Vernon; son, Maliki Blount of North Vernon; daughters, Jadyn Shine and Malenna Miller, both of North Vernon; brothers, Eddie Lee Shine III, Curtis Shine, Anthony Shine, Antwan Shine, and Marquise Shine, all of Green Cove Springs, Florida; sisters, Crystal (Shane) Steele of Uniontown, Charleda Shine, Shantey Shine, Debbie Shine, Ednisha Shine, and Serena Shine, all of Green Cove Springs, Florida; grandfather, Eddie Shine Sr. of Green Cove Springs, Florida; and nieces, Shyla Steele and Shaylie Steele, both of Uniontown.

He was preceded in death by, grandparents, Donald and Sandra Tarvin and Glenn Hughes; great-grandparents, Wilber and Dorthia (Kittle) Tarvin, and William Curtis and Marvis Edington; uncles, Thomas Clark, John Clark, and Michael Edington.

A funeral service for Mr. Shine will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 24, 2018, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Dan Corbin officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, September 24, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
