Deloris Mae Compton, 73, of Madison passed away at 11:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2018, at King’s Daughters Hospital in Madison.
Born, January 18, 1945, in Edmonson, Kentucky, Mrs. Compton was the daughter of the late Bill and Rosella Riggs Compton. She married Philip Larkin on October 11, 1993, in Bonita Springs, Florida. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Compton worked in the kitchen at nursing homes in Florida. She was a member of the Baptist Church in Cedar Springs, Kentucky. Mrs. Compton enjoyed flowers, crocheting and being outdoors.
Survivors include her sons, Floyd James Vincent Jr. of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, Rocca Vincent of Tennessee, Dean Curtis (Lori) Vincent of Milltown, and David Vincent of Alaska; daughters, Regina (Randy Jr.) Perry of Madison, Fannie (Jarvis) Jackson of North Carolina, Samantha (Travis Burnett) Vincent of Pekin and Pam Compton of Alaska; sister, Shirley (Melvin) Fry of Cecilia, Kentucky; 21 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; sisters, Elsie Roller, Hattie Blandford, Mary Ellen Fry and twins, Betty Lou & Valerie Compton; brother, Odell Compton.
A visitation for Mrs. Compton will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services with a closing prayer at 1:00 p.m.
The family request that in lieu of flowers memorials may be made through the funeral home for expenses.
