Dennis "Doc" Begley

Dennis “Doc” Begley, 69, of Commiskey passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2018, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.

Born November 17, 1948 in Letcher County, Kentucky, Mr. Begley was the son of Douglas and Dana Elam Begley. He married Carolyn Florence Ellis on June 10, 2000. She survives.

Mr. Begley was a graduate of Columbus High School and received a Technical Degree in Automotive from Ivy Tech in Columbus. He retired from NAC in North Vernon and had previously worked as a technician for Storey Ford in Seymour. He was the former V.F.W. coordinator for D.A.V. drivers. Mr. Begley enjoyed driving for D.A.V. and caring for Veterans.

Surviving with his wife, Carolyn Begley are sons, Lonnie Begley of Columbus and Billy Ellis of Commiskey; daughters, Nora Begley of Columbus and Betty (Donny) Skinner of Seymour; parents, Douglas and Dana Begley of Edinburgh; brothers, Darrel (Connie) Begley of Columbus and Danny (Bridgette) Begley of Indianapolis; sisters, Norma Burton of Ohio and Donna (Doug) McFarland, of Franklin; and twelve grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2018 from 12:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon. Private Family Funeral Service will be held.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Matt Hester Post #2021, V.F.W. in North Vernon.
