Doris Sue (Robinson) Krueger

Doris Sue Krueger, 80, of Scipio, passed away at 12:45 a.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at the Covered Bridge Health Campus in Seymour.

Born on November 10, 1936 in Vincennes; Mrs. Krueger was the daughter of the late Icil Robinson Sr. and Gladys Wolfold Robinson. She married James Robert Krueger, Sr. on July 21, 1957 in Bicknell, Indiana. He preceded her in death on April 7, 2015.

Mrs. Krueger was a 1954 graduate of Bicknell High School in Bicknell and was a housewife and homemaker. She was a member of Scipio United Methodist Church and member of the Women’s Circle of the Church. Mrs. Krueger enjoyed shopping, sitting on her swing, and spending time with her family

Survivors include son, James R. (Tisha) Krueger, Jr. of Seymour; daughters, Susan (Max) Tungate and Pam Speer both of Scipio; sister, Verna Jean Meek of Scipio; grandchildren, Crystol (Ryan) Cross, Mandi (Steve) Boswell and Jake (Sara) Speer all of North Vernon, Austin Tungate and Tiffany (Andy) Bowman both of Scipio, Dakota (Trista) Krueger and Jamie Krueger both of Seymour, Ashley (Josh Sessions) Combs of Hope; great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Kennedy Cross, Sydney, Tyler and Jordan Speer,  Chase, Bree and Reese Boswell all of North Vernon, Emmeri and Lilly Combs, Dakota, Emilee, Wyatt and Zain Sessions all of Hope and Luke Bowman of  Scipio. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Bud and Icil Robinson Jr., and sister, Thelma Copelin.

A funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the Scipio United Methodist Church in Scipio with the Rev. Dereck Fields officiating.  Family and Friends may call at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon, Indiana on Friday, September 29, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in the Reddington Cemetery in Reddington, Indiana. 

Memorials may be made to the Scipio United Methodist Church through the funeral home.
