Franklin Dean Miller

Franklin Dean Miller, 75, of North Vernon passed away at 12:20 p.m. on January 11, 2018, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.

Born June 13, 1942, in Columbus, Mr. Miller was the son of Albert and Madeline Smiley Miller. He married Dottie Knight in 1977 in Greensburg. She survives.

Mr. Miller was a graduate of Columbus High School, and received his Master’s in counseling and Doctorate in Meta Physical Theology.

Surviving with his wife, Dottie Miller are sons, Sean (Thuy) Miller of Indianapolis and Peter (Chrystal) Miller of Cameron, North Carolina; daughters, Sena (Jacques) Jessen of Indianapolis, Hannah (Aaron) Harrison of Oldsmar, Florida and Emily (Ben Thompson) Miller of North Vernon; sister, Darlene Bower of Columbus; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service for Mr. Miller will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon with Sean and Peter Miller officiating. Family and Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until time of memorial service.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the American Lung Association, American Heart Association or Mercy Rescue and Adoption.
