Lance A. Reynolds Sr., 73, of North Vernon, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017, at his residence.

Born August 30, 1944, in Indianapolis, Mr. Reynolds was the son of Rachel P. Williams Hayden.

Mr. Reynolds owned and operated Reynolds Drywall from 1969-2004 retiring after 35 years. He served in the National Guard from 1960 – 1963. Mr. Reynolds was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Seymour. He enjoyed traveling.

Survivors include his sons, Lance A. Reynolds Jr., Kenny Blount and John Blount all of North Vernon and Johnnie Ray Reynolds of Scipio; daughters, Melissa (Mike) Brewer of Seymour and Marissa Reynolds of North Vernon; brother, Dennis (Debbie) Reynolds of Indianapolis; sisters, Patricia Jo Whalin of Indianapolis, Jennifer (Charles) Tape of Seymour and Gwendolyn (Morris) Hammelman of Hayden; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother,  daughters, Linda May and Betty Ann Reynolds and brother, David Reynolds.

A funeral service for Mr. Reynolds will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon. Family and Friends may call on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Donor’s Choice of Charity.
