Lucinda "Rosie" (Cann) Armand

Lucinda "Rosie" Armand, 82, formerly of Commiskey, passed away at 9:21 p.m. on Sunday, November 18, 2018, at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia.

Born July 2, 1936, in Westport, Indiana Mrs. Armand was the daughter of John Cann and Marjorie "Ellen" (Small) Cann. She married David Samuel Armand Sr. on April 3, 1955, in Westport, Indiana; he preceded her in death on November 26, 1991.

Mrs. Armand was a 1954 graduate of Sand Creek High School. She worked for many years as a Head Cook for Graham Creek Elementary in Commiskey, Indiana. Mrs. Armand was a member of Dupont Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, drawing and played the saxophone in her younger days.

Survivors include her son, Jacob (Rose) Armand of Seymour; daughters, Adora Lea Elliott of St. Louis, Missouri; Ellen Ruth (Edward) Reid of Acworth, Georgia, and Cindy (Ray) Jones of Butlerville; brother, George Cann of Westport, Indiana; sister, Ruth Clarkson of Westport, Indiana; grandchildren, Christin (Patrick) Hayden of Indianapolis, Indiana, Sam Jones of Butlerville, Indiana, and Will Reid of Acworth, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by, her parents, her sister Mary Hampton, her husband David Samuel Armand, Sr. and her son David Samuel Armand, Jr.

A funeral service for Mrs. Armand will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Monday, November 26, 2018, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon. Family and Friends may call at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service from 10:00 a.m. until time of service on Monday, November 26, 2018. Burial will be in the Grandview Cemetery in Madison.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Alzheimer's Association or the American Heart Association.
