Madalyn Elizabeth Lucas, daughter of Ashton Nicole Chandler and Justin Michael Lucas, passed away on October 11, 2019, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.
Madalyn was very active at night and loved music; she was especially happy and active when her brother would sing to her, and she would often move when you touched her in the womb.
Surviving with her parents is her brother, Raylan Chandler of North Vernon; grandparents, Lisa (Bret) Feltner of Deputy, Paul Johnson of Lexington, Kentucky, Rick (Alison) Lucas of Commiskey, and Shorty (Phil) Layman of Commiskey; great-grandparents, Arlis and Sandy Feltner of Deputy, Sue (Allen) Lucas of North Vernon, Willard Johnson of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Helen and Ray Elkins of Paris Crossing; aunts and uncles, Christina (John) Phillips of Madison, Kelsey (Brandon) Maxwell of Fort Campbell, Kentucky, Chase (Miranda) Fugate of Deputy, Mariah (Steven) Georges of Franklin, McKinley (Allison) Lucas of Commiskey, Paige (Conner) Layman of Indianapolis, and Bryant (Ali) Layman of Paris Crossing; and cousins, Olivia Phillips, Lucas Phillips, and Laila Phillips, all of Madison, Mylee Maxwell, Jaxon Maxwell, Thea Maxwell, and Skylar Maxwell, all of Fort Campbell, Kentucky, Theadora Fugate of Deputy, Bryson Layman, Addy Layman, and Case Layman, all of Paris Crossing, and Amelia Georges of Franklin.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, JoAnn Johnson, R.D. Royalty, and N.J. Lucas.
A funeral service for Madalyn will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 13, 2019, at the First Marion Baptist Church, located at 7730 South County Road 850 West Commiskey, Indiana 47227, with Rev. Damon Marling officiating. Family and friends may call at the church from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the First Marion Baptist Church Cemetery.
