Marjorie Dawn (Howard) Rutherford-White

Marjorie Dawn Rutherford-White, 44, of Madison, formerly of North Vernon, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017, at University Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

Born December 31, 1971, in Indiana, Mrs. Rutherford-White was the daughter of Robert Howard and Nancy Drake Stevens. She married Damion White on October 23, 2003, in Madison. He survives.

Mrs. Rutherford-White worked as a CNA for the Masonic Home in Franklin and Hanover Nursing Home in Hanover, a teacher’s aide and substitute teacher for Southwestern Elementary in Hanover, and team leader for Madison Precision. She was a former member of First Christian Church in Hanover.  Mrs. Rutherford-White enjoyed reading, children and family time, making jewelry and collecting antiques.

She is survived by her husband, Damion White of North Vernon; sons, Michael Durden of Hanover, Michael Davis of North Carolina, Darien (Heather) White of Madison; daughters, Kirsten (Tyler Hale) Rutherford and Katie (Cyrus) Whitesell both of North Vernon, Taylor Davis and Jessie Ryan Davis both of Madison, Sydney Davis of Columbus and Morgan White of Franklin; brother, Chris Drake of Franklin; sisters, Sarah Drake of Springfield, Missouri, Della Drake of Edinburgh, Roxann (Hailey) Davis of Madison, Erica Drake and Alex Drake both of Franklin; grandchildren, Eric Rutherford, Bryant Hale, Silas Rutherford, Eris Hale and Bentley Whitesell all of North Vernon and Willow White of Madison.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Eric Nathaniel Drake.

A funeral service for Mrs. Rutherford-White will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2017, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon. Family and Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 20, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home for expenses.
