Mark Alan Waggoner

Mark Alan Waggoner, 65, of North Vernon, passed away at 8:47 a.m.  on Monday, December 30, 2019, at his residence.

Born November 16, 1954, in Seymour, Mark was the son of Stan Waggoner and Janet (Knot) Walls. He married Sharon Herr on January 29, 2000, in North Vernon; she survives.

Mark was a high school graduate, held an associate degree and served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked as a truck driver for Celadon Trucking in Indianapolis for 35 years. Mark enjoyed camping, hunting, and working on small engines.

Surviving with his wife are sons, David (Michelle) Waggoner of North Vernon and Robert Hicks of Columbus; daughters, Chanda (Kevin) Hackman of Seymour, Crystal Lawrence of Columbus, and Jackie (David) Lacey of North Vernon; brothers, Larry (Sherri) Waggoner and Brian Walls, both of Columbus, and Scott (Terri Jones) Waggoner of Seymour; sister, Julie Alexander of Hagerstown; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Vickie Ent.

In keeping with his and his family’s wishes, cremation is planned with a celebration of life to be held on January 11, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Pleasant View United Methodist Church, 8520 IN-3, North Vernon, Indiana with military rites to be performed at 1:00 pm. Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service was entrusted with these arrangements.

Memorials may be made in honor of Mark through the funeral home to help with expenses.
