Matthew Lee Lonsberry

Matthew Lee Lonsberry, 52, of North Vernon, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019, in Scipio.

Born on June 28, 1967, in Seymour, he was the son of Stanley and Rebecca (Baety) Lonsberry. He married Mary Sturgill on October 14, 2017, at the Vinegar Mill in North Vernon. She survives.

Matthew worked for H&L Tree Trimming in North Vernon as a bucket truck driver and Atmosphere Annealing in production for 2 years.  He was a member of Christ Baptist Church in North Vernon.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding Harley's.

Surviving with his wife, Mary Lonsberry of North Vernon; are sons, Jesse Lonsberry and Cody (Alexis) Lonsberry, both of Sebring, Florida; daughters, Amber Felter of Sebring, Florida, Hyja Lonsberry of Pennsylvania, and Starla Lonsberry of Versailles; step-son, James Michael (Shelby) Long of North Vernon; step-daughters, Kimberly Phillips and Loretta Long, both of North Vernon, and Ashley (John) Graves of Madison; brother, David (Dalynn) Lonsberry of North Vernon; grandchildren, Harley Felter, Matthew and Charles Lonsberry, all of Sebring, Florida, Derek, Hailey, and Charli Long, and Kinsley Matteson, all of North Vernon, Jordan, Paige and Madison Burton, all of Madison; and two nieces, Cally and Molly Lonsberry, both of North Vernon.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ruth Ann Lonsberry.

A funeral service for Matthew will be conducted at 2:00 p.m.  on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
