Morgan Rhea Gibson

Morgan Rhea Gibson, 17, of North Vernon passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2018, in North Vernon.  

Born June 14, 2000, on the living room floor in North Vernon, the daughter of Sherri Rork Wager and the late John Gibson.

Morgan was a Junior attending Jennings County High School, where she was a member of the Jennings County High School Dance Team and Spanish Club, she played softball at the North Vernon City Park. Morgan was working as a waitress for Cracker Barrel in Seymour. Morgan had a Love for Life and loved being with her family and she would light up a room with her smile. She enjoyed working out with Lori at Anytime Fitness, track and field, fishing with Travis and Trey and shopping with Makayla, Kaitlyn and Friends.

Survivors include her mother and step-father, Sherri and Jeremiah Wager Sr. of North Vernon; significant other, Tony Merry of North Vernon; brothers, Cory (Autumn) Gibson and three children and Joseph Gibson all of Madison and Jeremiah Wager Jr. of Florida; sisters, Brittany (Chad) Watson and two children of Madison, Autumn (Makaih) Wager of Florida, Kaitlynn (Mark Fisher Jr.) Smith  and Makayla Wager both of North Vernon; grandparents, Rita Rork, Edith Ault and Chris Ault all of North Vernon and Curtis Wager of Commiskey; great-grandparents, Mollie Toops of Holton and Ruth Campbell of Crothersville;  aunts and uncles,  Lori (Andy) Wilson and two children of Hayden, Charity Wager and six children of Commiskey, Nathan (Michelle) Wager and two children of Columbus and Josh Wager and three children of North Vernon. 

She was preceded in death by her father, John Gibson; sister, Kaije Bre-Anna Smith; grandfather, Oren Rork and aunt, Angel Rork

A funeral service for Morgan will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Saturday, March 31, 2018, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Taylor Gurley officiating and several speakers from the family. Visitation will be on Friday, March 30, 2018 at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will be in the Rock Creek Cemetery in Westport.
