Nancy Jo (Stagman) Ross

Nancy Jo Ross, 86, of Butlerville passed away at 4:15 a.m. on Friday, January 26, 2018, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus.

Born July 26, 1931, in Vernon, Mrs. Ross was the daughter of the late Harry and Eva DeVersy Stagman. She married Alex Ross on April 3, 1950 in Madison; he preceded her in death on August 19, 1996.

Mrs. Ross was a graduate of Vernon High School and was a homemaker and housewife. She was a member of Graham Baptist Church in San Jacinto. Mrs. Ross enjoyed yard work, flowers, working crossword puzzles, watching T.V., her cat and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Gi Gi (Kenneth) Wilson of North Vernon; sons, Mike (Sue) Ross of Commiskey and Scott Ross of Butlerville; sister, Carol Engle of Vernon; grandchildren, Melissa (Mike) Humphrey of Madison, Jessica (Nathan Marshall) Stidham and Raymond J. Graham both of Columbus and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister, Shirley Ann Brooks.

In keeping with her and her family’s wishes no services are to be held at this time. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon.
