Patricia A. (Porter) Wilkinson

Patricia A. Wilkinson, 83, of North Vernon passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at her residence.

Born January 31, 1935 in Dupont, Mrs. Wilkinson was the daughter of the late Ralph and Irene R. Humphrey Porter.

Mrs. Wilkinson was a 1952 graduate of North Vernon High School and worked as the bar manager for the Matt Hester Post #2021 V.F.W. in North Vernon for four years, she had previously was a school bus driver, tended bars and waitress. Mrs. Wilkinson enjoyed painting, playing bass guitar in a band, crocheting, playing on her tablet and she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son, James (Candice) Fields of North Vernon, daughters, Cathy (Mike) Hardwick and Lenora (Aaron) Robbins both of North Vernon and Carla Butler of Tampa, Florida; brothers, Bob (Jackie) Porter and Donald (Sharon) Porter both of North Vernon; fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Timothy R. Reynolds; brother, Dennis Porter and sister, Sue A. Roy and grandsons, Justin and Jeremy Moore.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2018, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon. Family and Friends may call at the funeral home on 10:00 a.m. until time of service.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to expenses.
