Pauline (O'Neal) Cook

Pauline Cook, 81, of North Vernon, passed away at 6:45 a.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at her residence.

Born February 21, 1937 in Seymour, she was the daughter of Paul Samuel and Opal Beatty O’Neal. She married Paul Lincoln “Bun” Cook. He preceded her in death in July of 2000.

Mrs. Cook graduated from high school before going on to work for the Social Security office in Columbus and later retired from Public Relations. She worked part time for Stonebelt in Columbus. She was a member of the Corinthian Baptist Church in North Vernon. She enjoyed fishing; bowling; mowing; flower gardening; and the outdoors, but most of all she loved family time.

Mrs. Cook is survived by her son, Greg (Shawna) Cook of Butlerville; daughter, Radena (Charlie) Cook of North Vernon; sisters, Lenora Horaitis of Los Angeles, California and Agnes O’Neal of Grand Rapids, Michigan; grandchild, Nathan (Amanda) Williams of Gainesville, Florida; great grandchild, Kannon Williams of Gainesville, Florida; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Paul Butch Cook; sister, Dorothy Phillips; and brothers, Marvin Peck and Bobby O’Neal.

A funeral service for Mrs. Cook will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 12, 2018 and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Burial will be in Vernon cemetery.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Corinthian Baptist Church.
