Robert Nelson Callahan

Robert Nelson Callahan, 68, of North Vernon passed away on April 4, 2018, at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital in Bedford.

Born January 12, 1950, in Scottsburg, he was the son of Edward and Ila Cole Callahan.

Mr. Callahan enjoyed going out to eat, listening to music, watching wrestling and television, and being outdoors.

He is survived by his brothers, Ed (Sue) Callahan of Scottsburg, Timothy (Donna) Gross and Jesse Gross both of Austin; sisters, Phyllis (Gary) Herche of North Vernon, Rosemary McWilliams of Scottsburg and Patsy Combs of Austin; his caregiver Missy Tackett and the rest of his Res-Care Family in Bedford.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 6, 2018, in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon. Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services were entrusted with the care of these arrangements.

Memorials may be made in honor of Mr. Callahan through the funeral home to Mercy Rescue.
