Sue Ann (Porter) Roy

Sue Ann Roy, 72, of North Vernon passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at her residence.

Born February 11, 1946, in Columbus; Mrs. Roy was the daughter of Ralph and Irene Humphrey Porter. She married Walter Roy, Sr. on March 25, 1967 in North Vernon. He survives.

Mrs. Roy was a 1964 graduate of North Vernon High School. She worked production for NAC for five years and had previously worked as an attendant for the former Muscatatuck State Developmental Center in Butlerville for ten years. She enjoyed fishing.

Surviving with her husband, Walter Roy Sr.; are sons, Walter Roy, Jr. of Noblesville and Michael Roy of North Vernon; brothers, Bob (Jackie) Porter and Donald (Sharon) Porter both of North Vernon; sister, Patricia Wilkinson of North Vernon; grandchildren, Megan Marie Roy of North Vernon and Shane Roy of Noblesville.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Dennis Porter.

A funeral service for Mrs. Roy will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon with the Brother Ceburn Tyler Jr. officiating. Family and Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery in Versailles.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the American Heart Association.
