Tony Lee Jarvis, 64, of North Vernon, passed away at 12:30 a.m. on May 2, 2019 at his residence.
Born September 28, 1954, in New Castle, he was the son of the late Edward Dale and Rosalie (Wantz) Jarvis. He married Cindi (Fulton) Jarvis on June 18, 1976 in New Castle; she survives.
Tony graduated from New Castle High School in 1972 and went on to work for Chrysler in New Castle for 6 years, Finney in North Vernon for 10 years, North Vernon Forge in North Vernon for 6 years, and Impact Forge for 25 years, from which he retired in 2017. He was a member for Bethel Baptist Church for 12 years and formerly served as a deacon. He enjoyed family time and watching I.U. Basketball.
Surviving with his wife, Cindi (Fulton) Jarvis of North Vernon, is his son, Jason Jarvis of North Vernon; daughter, Amy (John) Gulley of Columbus; brother, Tim (Cid) Jarvis of Chicago, Illinois; sister, Tami Cunningham-Neal of New Castle; and grandchildren, Jack Gulley and Mary Gulley, both of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Dale and Rosalie (Wantz) Jarvis.
A funeral service for Tony will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 6, 2019 at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Ricky Persons officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, 2019 and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Burial will be at South Mound Cemetery in New Castle at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2019.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the American Diabetes Association.
