Troy Irvin Bailey

Troy Irvin Bailey, 59, of North Vernon passed away Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Born October 23, 1959, in Madison, Mr. Bailey was the son of Lois (Campbell) Bailey and the late Roy Bailey.

Mr. Bailey was a 1978 graduate of Jennings County High School. He worked at Decatur Plastics as a truck driver for 10 years and a laborer at North Vernon Forge for 20 years. He enjoyed working on and restoring muscle cars, family time and traveling.

He is survived by his sons, Jed and Jayden Bailey of North Vernon, Troy Isiah Bailey and Zach (Stephanie) Hardesty of Shelbyville; daughter, Halie (Courtland) Harrod of Scipio; mother, Lois Bailey of North Vernon; brothers, David (Terri) Bailey and Thomas (Melissa) Bailey of North Vernon; sister, Lora (John) Young of North Vernon; grandchildren, Brock Hardesty and Brayden Smith of Shelbyville, Ezzy and Jackson Harrod of Scipio; several nephews, one niece and numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Bailey; brother, Charles Edward Bailey; and grandparents, Troy & Dicie Bailey, and Irvin & Viola Campbell.

A funeral service for Mr. Bailey will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2019. Burial will be in the Vernon cemetery.

Memorials may be mad in honor of Troy through the funeral home to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
