William Lucas “Luke” Taylor Holman, 25, of North Vernon passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at his residence.
Born November 14, 1992, in Columbus, Luke was the son of Harry W. Holman and the late Debra K. Bowling.
Luke was a graduate of Seymour High School and worked for Gary McHaley Construction. He was a member of New Freedom Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and hunting, listening to music, riding a 4-wheeler, campfires and spending time playing with his daughter.
Survivors include his daughter, Cassidy Lynn Holman of North Vernon; father, Harry Holman of Versailles; sister, Allison Bowling of Scipio; grandparents, Janie and Mitch Burns of North Vernon, Bernadette and Harry Holman of Versailles, and Larry Boardman of Englewood, Florida; great-grandmother, Ruth Boardman of North Vernon; aunts and uncles, Carrie McHaley, Gary and Charlanne McHaley, and Troy and Becky McHaley, all of North Vernon; and best friend, Joe Wiley of Westport.
He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents.
A funeral service for Luke will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service with the Rev. David Brown officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery.
