Abby Jo (Dorman) Woerdeman

Abby Jo Woerdeman, 36, of North Vernon, passed away on May 29, 2025, at her residence.

Born July 18, 1988, in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Mark Dorman and the late Tracy (Pierce) Dorman. She married Terence Eugene Arthur on October 29, 2022, in Seymour; he survives.

Abby was a graduate of Eastern Greene High School in Greene County and received a nursing degree from the University of Louisville. She worked for the VA as a traveling nurse and was responsible for helping start the VA Housing Authority in Indiana. While in High School she was a member or the FFA at Eastern Green High School. Abby enjoyed crafts, tinkering, building things, and working on vehicles. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Terence; daughter, Tracy Jo “Jo Jo” Woerdeman; father, Mark Dorman; stepson, Chris Woerdeman, Cody Woerdeman, and Donald Arthur; stepdaughters, Courtney Arthur, Lauryn Arthur, and Sara Arthur; brother, Chad Dorman; a biological sister; many un-biological brothers and sisters including the McGruder family; several grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her infant twin sons, Jase and Case Woerdeman, mother, Tracy Dorman; stepchildren, T.J. Arthur and Mary Margaret; and sister-in-law, Nikkie Ryan.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  on Monday, June 9, 2025, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.

The family request in lieu of flowers donations be made in Abby’s honor for help with funeral expenses.
