Albert Donald “Bud” Aeschbocker, 92, passed away at 9:04 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2024, at Compass Park Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin.
Born April 3, 1932, in Jennings County, he was the son of Albert W. and Sarah C. (Smith) Aeschbocker.
Bud served in the United States Army and was a disabled veteran. He was a member of the North Vernon Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed fishing, working in the yard, taking walks, gardening, and feeding birds.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Ann Roberts of Vacaville, California and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jesse Aeschbocker; sisters, Ruth Buchanan, Jean Cleveland, Margaret Olds, and Eileen Cornett.
A funeral service for Bud will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Caleb Reynolds officiating. The visitation for family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. A burial will follow in the Vernon Cemetery with military graveside rites by members of Matt Hester Post #2021 V.F.W.
Memorials may be made in honor of Bud through the funeral home to the North Vernon Church of the Nazarene.
