Amber Maurene (Frietzsche) Parrish

Amber Maurene Parrish, 69, of North Vernon, passed away at 4:15 a.m. on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at her residence.

Born December 20, 1956, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of the late John Lewis and Margie Velma (Campfield) Frietzsche.

Amber received her associate degree as a medical assistant. She worked in Home Health Care in North Vernon for four years and was a homemaker. Amber enjoyed going camping, canoeing, kayaking, working in her garden and flower beds, cooking, having her family over and dogs.

Survivors include her sons, Daniel (Holly) Parrish and David Parrish, both of North Vernon; her daughter, Shanna Lee (Alex) Holwager of Spring Hill, Florida; foster brother, Eddie Brandewiede of North Vernon; sister, Christine E. (Larry Cleavenger) Lange of Columbus; and grandchildren, Daniel Gene Parrish II and Eli Gene Parrish, both of Knightstown.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Chad McIntosh; son, Donald Hammond; brother, David Earl Frietzsche; stepfather, William Frietzsche and companion, Patrick Steady.

In keeping with her and her family’s wishes’ cremation is planned with no services to be held at this time. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Mercy Rescue and Adoption Inc.
