Anna LaVonn (Bradshaw) Sedam

Anna LaVonn Sedam, 84, of North Vernon, passed away at 12:01 a.m. on April 23, 2022, at Willow Crossing in Columbus.

Born March 28, 1938, in Jefferson County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Orville Preston and Dorotha Elizabeth (Roberts) Bradshaw.

Anna attended Vernon High School, and later returned to high school to receive her diploma in 1975 from Jennings County High School. She retired as an attendant in March of 2000 from the former Muscatatuck State Developmental Center in Butlerville after 33 years. Anna was a member of Trinity Full Gospel Church. She enjoyed crocheting, watching TV, attending church, participating in card ministry through the church, baking cakes, and going out to eat at Red Lobster.

Survivors include her sons, Patrick A. (Diane) Sedam of Evans, Georgia and Scott (Maryann) Sedam of Seymour; her daughters, Cheri (Mike) Pike of North Vernon and Robin (James) Upchurch of Versailles; grandchildren, Kody (Dee) Sedam of Acworth, Georgia, Ryan (Ashley) Sedam of Evans, Georgia, Brittany (Donnie) Bryant of Butlerville, Clinton (Tiffany) Lunsford of North Vernon, Taylor (Marcus) Browning of Frankfort, Kentucky, Jessica (Charly) Conrad of Reddington, Jeremy (Amber) Marshall of Hayden, Mica (David Young) McKing of Greenville, Ohio, Becca (CJ) Reynolds of Scottsburg and Brittany Pike of Madison; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; cousin, Billie Roberts of Madison; and several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law from the Bradshaw and Sedam sides.

She was preceded in death by her parents and  brothers, David, Jesse and Marshall Bradshaw.

A funeral service for Anna will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 29, 2022, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Robert Johnson and Rev. Jim Upchurch officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, April 28, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial will follow in the Vernon Cemetery.
