Arya Lynn Van Volkenburgh

Arya Lynn Van Volkenburgh, 2-week-old daughter of Jordan and Abbigail Van Volkenburgh, passed away at 1:26 p.m. on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born September 2, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Arya loved to kick her feet and keep her nurses on their toes.

Surviving with her parents, Jordan and Abbigail Van Volkenburgh of North Vernon; brother, Jericho Van Volkenburgh of North Vernon; grandparents, Jason and Heather Van Volkenburgh and Chris and Lisa Allman, all of North Vernon; great-grandparents, Jane and Danny DeShong Sr., Linda and Allen Goins, Leon and Terry Allman, all of North Vernon, and Merle and Debbie Van Volkenburgh of Greenwood; uncles, Riley Allman and Jamin Van Volkenburgh, both of North Vernon; aunt Lacey (Caleb) Jenkins of North Vernon; and cousin, Isaih Jenkins of North Vernon.

She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Jemma Van Volkenburgh.

A celebration of life for Arya will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 5:00 p.m.  until 7:00 p.m. at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home in honor of Arya to Mercy Rescue and Adoption Inc.
