Austin Garrett Tungate

Austin Garrett Tungate, 23, of Scipio, passed away on October 24, 2019, at his residence.

Born February 14, 1996, he was the son of Max and Susan (Krueger) Tungate; they survive.

Austin went on to work for Daily Feed & Grain in Columbus after graduating from high school. He loved spending time with his family and his son and was very active in AA. He loved to hunt raccoons, fish, and show pigs in 4-H.

He is survived by his son, Aiden Branaman of Hayden; parents, Max and Susan Tungate of Scipio; sisters, Ashley (Josh) Sessions of Hope and Amanda Wright of North Vernon; brother, Kurt Barnes of Westport; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Kelli Tungate, and grandparents, James and Sue Krueger and Robert and Ida Mae Tungate.

A funeral service for Austin will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Burial will be in the Reddington Cemetery.
