Austin Lane Yeager

Austin Lane Yeager, 20, of North Vernon, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2020, in Decatur County.

Born May 25, 2000, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Melissa (Holton) Yeager.

Austin was a 2018 graduate of Jennings County High School and worked as a service technician for Miller Tire in North Vernon where his grandfather and uncle both worked. He enjoyed spending time with his girlfriend, Shae Finch. Austin was an off-road enthusiast and enjoyed Jeeping. He loved listening to music, hanging out with friends, and playing video games.

He is survived by his mother, Melissa Yeager of North Vernon; uncle, David “Dewey” Holton of North Vernon; grandparent, Lori Holton of North Vernon; great-grandparent, Claudia Lynch of North Vernon; cousins, Conner Holton  and Abbey Cross of North Vernon; and step-sisters,  Brittany Yeager and Seirra Goen, both of North Vernon. 

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, David Holton and great-grandparents, Lloyd and Alice Holton.

A funeral service for Austin will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2020, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon. Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in North Vernon.

Memorials may be made in honor of Austin through the funeral home to help with expenses.
