Barbara Jean Krueger, 78, of Scipio, passed away at 9:03 a.m. on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at her residence.

Born May 21, 1942, in San Diego, California, she was the daughter of Peter Clyde and Virginia (Cherry) Schock. She married William Krueger on November 12, 1960 in Ypsilanti, Michigan; he survives.

Barbara was a 1960 graduate of Willow Run High School in Ypsilanti, Michigan. She was a homemaker and housewife. Barbara was member of First United Methodist Church in North Vernon. She enjoyed reading, flowers, crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving with her husband, William, are her children, Scott (Joleen) Krueger of Elizabethtown, Bill (Leslie) Krueger of Scipio, and Greg (Lisa) Krueger of Columbus; grandchildren, Jacob (Kessa) Krueger and Baylee Krueger, both of Scipio, Anna Krueger and Andrew Krueger, both of Columbus, and Chloe Krueger, Sophie Krueger, and Liam Krueger, all of Elizabethtown; great-grandchildren, Cerissa and Audrey Krueger, both of Scipio; siblings, Joyce (Richard) Kingsbury, Diana (Dick) Marsh, Clyde (Barbara) Schock, Dennis (Colleen) Schock, Vickie (John) Church, Jeff (Bekki) Schock, and Alan (Lisa) Schock, all of Michigan, and Patty Simpson of Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Woody, Ricky and Pete Schock.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 25, 2020, in the Reddington Cemetery in Reddington with the Rev. Kendall Wildey officiating. Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon were entrusted with the care of arrangements.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to a local youth organization of donor’s choice.
