Betty Ann (Boddy) Cornett

Betty Ann Cornett, 80, of North Vernon, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at her home.

Born April 19, 1943, in Glennie, Michigan, she was the daughter of Albert and Laura (Gordon) Boddy. She married Paul Clay Cornett on November 4, 1961, in Glennie, Michigan. He preceded her in passing on May 20, 2014.

Betty was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, crafts, and cross word puzzles.

Survivors include her son – Darlis (Julie) Cornett of Hayden; daughters – Cindy (Raleigh Barnes) Vogel-Barnes of Scipio, Lori (Mark) Nicodemus of Springfield, OH, and Rhonda (Bob) Joy of Columbus; grandchildren – Clinton (Kelly) Vogel, Chelsea (David) Bingham, Rachel (Devin) Brown, Connor and Carson Vogel, all of North Vernon, Crystal (Josh) Golden of Michigan, Megan (Chase) Buchanan, Amber (Teddy) Adams, Marcus Stepper, all of Columbus, Matt (Kylie Falcone) Cornett of Greenwood, and John (Dena) Stepper of Hope; great grandchildren – Isabelle Green of Greenwood, Ophelia Golden of Michigan, Brylee Brown, Noah, Hazel, Jude Vogel, Case Bingham, all of North Vernon, Luke and Evie Buchanan, Corey, Bella, Eli, Johnathan, Ariel, River, Casein, Lilly, and Isaih Stepper, P.J. Neff, Paxton and Torvi Adams, all of Columbus.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband Paul, her parents Albert and Laura, brother – Jake Boddy; sister – Donna Spencer; grandchild – Travis Green; great grandchild – Aiden Stepper.

The funeral for Betty will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Don Morris officiating. Public visitation will be on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will be at the Hayden Cemetery in Hayden, IN.
