Betty Lorene Euler, 98, of North Vernon, passed away at 7:55 p.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2021, at her residence.
Born January 23, 1923, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Norris Voyd and Lucille (Richardson) Whiteaker.
Betty was a 1940 graduate of Vernon High School and a graduate of beauty school in Hollywood, California. She worked as a beautician and in speech and hearing for Jennings County School Corp. Betty was a member of the Ladies Circle at Vernon Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed ceramics, gardening, ballroom dancing and taking cruises.
Survivors include her grandson, James Simmons of North Vernon, daughter in-law, Brenda Simmons of North Vernon and sister in-law, Marilyn Whiteaker of North Vernon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Paul Dugan, Jimmie D. Simmons, and Roger Euler; son, Michael Dee Simmons; and brother, Don “Pinky” Whiteaker.
A funeral service for Betty will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. (noon) Friday, March 19, 2021, at the Vernon Presbyterian Church in Vernon with the Rev. Michael Bean officiating. Family and friends may call at the Vernon Presbyterian Church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery.
