Betty Jane Pollock

Betty Jane Pollock, 72, of North Vernon, passed away at 11:55 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Betty was born June 6, 1949, in Conneaut, Ohio. She was the daughter of Herbert Arthur and Ella Davis (Poole) Pollock.

Betty was a social worker for Head Start in Arizona before retiring. She enjoyed crafts, reading, shopping, watching TV, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Jaime (Shelly B.) Kiste of Wyoming, Michigan, and John (Shelly A.) Kiste of North Vernon; brother, Jim Pollock of Seymour; sister, Susan (Gene) Vincent of Holcomb, Mississippi; grandchildren, Ashley Kuprienko and Jacob Kiste, both of Michigan, Angelita (David) Rowley of Seymour, Lilian Salomon of Indianapolis and Christopher Kiste who is serving in the Navy; great-grandchildren, Tristen, Emyle, and Adelin Kuprienko, and Liam Kiste, all of Michigan, Chloii, Noah, and Emerson Rowley all of Seymour; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Elizabeth Beeman.

A memorial service for Betty will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in North Vernon. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.

Memorials may be made in honor of Betty through the funeral home to the donor’s choice of organization.
