Beva Gail (George) Barnsfather

Beva Gail George Barnsfather, 61, of North Vernon, passed away at 4:55 p.m. on Thursday, December 24, 2020, at her residence.

Born July 24, 1959, in Columbus, she was the daughter of Vernon George Sr., and Alice Jerrie (Spicer) George. She married Rick Barnsfather in 1978 at the Peterswitch Nazarene Church.

Beva was a stay-at-home mom who enjoyed scrapbooking.

Survivors include her daughter, Amanda (Steven Filson) Barnsfather of North Vernon; sisters, Brenda Rogers, and Terrie (Ken) Miller, both of Florida; grandchildren BrookeLynn Barnsfather, KatieLynn Barnsfather, Justin Barnsfather, Austin Barnsfather, and JadeLynn Barnsfather; and nieces and nephews, Savanna Miller of Florida, Joseph Miller of Georgia, and Chelsea (Colton) Hinckley of Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her brother, Vernon George Jr.

A graveside memorial service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. (noon) Thursday, December 31, 2020, in the Bear Creek Baptist Cemetery in Jennings County with Warren Lucas officiating. Visitation will be held in the Bear Creek Baptist Cemetery from 11:30 a.m. until time of the service.

Memorials may be made in honor of Beva through the funeral home to help with expenses.
